Amirah joined the Jeffery Sachs Center in 2017 where she has worked on research, education and outreach for the Sustainable Development (SDGs). This includes fostering collaborations with key stakeholders in the areas of education and awareness of the SDGs, through organizing executive training programs, educational workshops, and public events. Amirah was also co-manager of the Malaysian chapter of the Sustainable Development Solutions Network (SDSN) for two years before joining the SDSN Global Secretariat team in 2021 where she is currently a Network Manager for SDSN Asia based in the Kuala Lumpur office at Sunway University. She is the Secretariat focal point for the Hong Kong Network, Indonesian Network, Malaysian Network, Philippines Network, Thailand Network and Southeast Asia Network. Amirah also provides support for the SDSN members communication platform, SDSN Mobilize. Prior to joining the Jeffrey Sachs Center and the SDSN, Amirah worked mainly in the hospitality and tourism industry in both Malaysia and Australia.
