Imran Mohd Rasid joined the SDG Academy as an Education Manager in 2021. His role with the Academy is to help to create and curate diverse content on the SDGs for a global audience. Prior to that, he worked as a research analyst at Strategic Information & Research Development Centre (SIRD) under an EU-funded project titled “Radicalisation, Secularism and the Governance of Religion: Bringing together European and Asian Perspectives” (GREASE). While with GREASE, Imran has produced a diverse amount of research outputs on the issues of religious diversity, discrimination against religious minorities, and human rights violations in Malaysia. He also worked as an editor-cum-publishing officer at one of the leading publishing houses in Malaysia for several years before transitioning into the field of research and education. Imran holds a Bachelor’s degree in Politics, Philosophy, and Economics (PPE) from The University of Manchester and currently completing his graduate studies in Malaysian Studies.
