Police have warned that Malaysia faces an imminent attack from Islamic State (IS). Police have foiled at least seven plots involving the terrorist group this year, according to the head of the Special Branch Counter-Terrorism Division.

Dr. Maszlee Malik, an expert in political Islam from the International Islamic University Malaysia, was given access to more than 30 Malaysians jailed for involvement with IS, Al Qaeda and other radical Islamic groups.

In this webcast, Professor James Chin speaks to Dr. Maszlee about what he learned from his discussions with these detainees, and how the government should respond if it wants to stop the recruitment of young Malaysians into terrorist groups.
