Mukhriz hopes Kulim International Airport will be operational in 2024

KUALA LUMPUR: Kedah Menteri Besar Datuk Seri Mukhriz Mahathir is hopeful that the Kulim International Airport (KXP) would be operational in 2024. He said the state government already have the master plan on the airport and is currently studying details on it.

“We hope to have it operational in 2024,” he said at the Asian Strategy and Leadership Institute (ASLI) Centre Stage exclusive conversation to share his vision for Kedah towards the Shared Prosperity Vision 2030. The dialogue, co- organised by ASLI and Jeffrey Cheah Institute on Southeast Asia (JCI), is themed “Dynamic Economic Development and Shared Prosperity: The Kedah Way”.

Feasibility Study of the Free Trade Agreement between the Kingdom of Cambodia and the Eurasian Economic Union

ABSTRACT: Cambodia has been exploring a free trade agreement (FTA) with the EAEU to expand market access to Eastern Europe. The EAEU is a common market comprised of five nations (Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, and Russia), 176 million people, and a gross domestic product of US$2.5 trillion.

The study examines the key impacts of a Cambodia– EAEU FTA on the Cambodian economy and the ASEAN region in terms of trade, investment, welfare, and the growth impact on the domestic and regional economy, providing a quantitative and qualitative assessment of the impacts of the proposed FTA between Cambodia and the EAEU on Cambodia.
